There is greater tendency to forget
where we are going and what we are meant to be. We sometimes believe that
satisfying our present needs alone is enough to make us fulfilled indeed. Some
have made the mistake of living their lives in the shape of other people’s
opinions or trying to be like others. This world is full of people who are
misplacing their priorities. There are some things we can never achieve, not
because we are incapacitated or inadequate, but we are not just meant to
achieve them. This is one of the truisms of life and what we must live with
full knowledge that though, we can’t but never are we a failure.
As humans, with a lot of busts to
associate and get acquainted, we always try to satisfy other people in order to
get approval and social security. We all need association but may I submit to
you that it is not every association we must enter into. In as much as we can
say we achieve more as a team, we should not allow that to becloud our reasoning
that there is nothing like teamwork on the day reckoning. Therefore, any
association that does not add any value to you will definitely subtract from
you. Why not dispense with it? There are times we need just ourselves, or let
me put it this way, there are times you need only yourself to do things by
yourself without any helping hand.
Albert Einstein said, “if you judge
a fish by its ability to fly, it will regret all through its lifetime”. Why?
Each of us is created for a particular purpose and while we quest for
association, we should have that purpose in mind. The best companion we have is
within us. Anyone who does not trust his gut will never get to anywhere, we are
meant to be creative. No one is made devoid of potentials. How have you used
your potentials?
We have many people who believed
they would have a second shot at life on this planet; thereby they can come
back and rectify their omission or error. Some even hope they will live
forever. It has proven to be an illusion for ages but not many have learnt any
lesson at all. Human beings have the trait of repeating the same mistakes,
making a recurrence of history. The mystic that demands reflection from
analytical minds is why we repeat negative aspect of history. Every generation
has the chance to write its own history, but majority of humanity tends towards
self destruction.
We can deduce that we lack visionary
leadership because very few is prepared to take the mantle. Leadership involves
being original. It can be loss-win game. Yes, you lose today and gain tomorrow.
A man who follows his heart will lose admire at the onset but will recover if
he persists with courage to follow his heart and intuition. The amazing
discovery is that every man is born a leader.
